Day 8. Saturday, August 6, 2011.

Today was a shopping day.  I got up and ate breakfast and Laura, Peggy and I got ready and went to the store looking for a jacket for me. all i brought with me was 2 hoodies and it rains all the time, and i am definitely going to need a jacket on my sailing trip.  we went to like 4 or 5 stores but everything is sooooo expensive... the cheapest we found was at a store like Walmart and it cost 39 euros (the most expensive: 580 euros!!!) and they were kids sizes. so we didnt buy any... that same store gets Women sizes in this week so we will go and get one some time this week.

after we got home i was on facebook for a while and i ate the rest of my gummy bears. then Toby and Franziska came and asked if i wanted to go to the electronic store with them, and i did.  before going to the electronic store we went to the bank and Toby deposited all of his change in his account then we went and got ice cream at the same place that laura had taken me before.  this time i got a waffel cone with melon ice cream it was so good. why is german ice cream so much better than american. i think everything is made fresh with real ingredients. But then we went to the electronic store and looked at movies and Franziska bought a new netbook and i bought a headset for skype (because i thought my computer mic was broke but turns out it wasn't) then we came home.

when we got home peggy and laura and i played skip bo until Alex got here, then just peggy and i played. then we ate dinner... i had a sausage and some tuna noodle salad.  then after dinner i went upstairs and watched tv. i started talking to john on facebook and then we skyped for a little while.. then we talked and said somethings that needed to be said and when i couldnt stay awake any longer i went to bed.

German ice cream IS so much better than American...it's lighter, and the flavors are better. Try the maracuja/passion fruit. It's soooo good.
